Who is your first customer?

Technology commercialization is about finding the initial product to market fit.  Where is the “tip of the spear” to enter what market?  It involves balancing technology readiness with the market entry point.  What can be delivered in what timeframe at what price?   It is not just about finding customers.   As Henry Ford is reported to have said “If I asked customers what they wanted they would have said a ‘faster horse'”.  Its about envisioning what customers will want and how to deliver that to them.
